Pi Eta Sigma

President

Who am I?

Born in 1978 outside of Detroit, Michigan, I moved to Nashville in 1988 and am a proud product of the city's school system, graduating from John Overton High School. I was fortunate to attend Fisk University and graduated with the Class of 2000.

Joining Pi Eta Sigma in 2019 was a turning point for me. I was drawn right away to the chapter's strong focus on excellence, brotherhood, and making a difference in the community. Since my initiation, I have worked hard to live up to these values.

As a candidate for Pi Eta Sigma President, I’m guided by a sincere desire to serve the chapter that has shaped me. Pledging Sigma made a lasting impact on my life, and I feel a deep responsibility to give back. I am Pi Eta Sigma Proud and Made — a reflection of the values, growth, and brotherhood this chapter stands for. My goal is to lead with humility, listen with intention, and work alongside my brothers to strengthen our legacy and build a future we can all be proud of.

I invite you to review my platform and service history. I am ready to lead—and I humbly request your vote to move our chapter forward.

What would I bring?

My Goals for the chapter

  • Brotherly Care: Prioritize strengthening brotherhood, offering support, organizing diverse meet-ups, and maintaining a resource registry.

  • Expansion: Launch a chapter expansion initiative focused on strategic recruitment and visibility.

  • Engagement: Boost engagement and build consensus around a shared vision.

  • Communication: Ensure transparent, proactive communication and joint planning calendars.

  • Vision: Lead a 2-year "Blu Oasis Project," a vision for growth, unity, and excellence.

  • Programs: Support Program Directors to strengthen community service and educational activities.

  • Zeta Relations: Establish a Sigma/Zeta event as an annual signature event.

  • Branding: Rebrand the chapter with improved, standards-aligned marketing to broaden visibility.

  • Presidential Team Formation: Plan to form a presidential team for guidance and idea exchange.

My 90 Day Plan

  • E-Board Transition: Conduct a joint Early January retreat for incoming/outgoing E-Boards to ensure a smooth start and shared vision.

  • Founders Day: Plan an internal Founders Day event as a new signature gathering.

  • Form an Engagement Committee to facilitate broad connection with members through surveys and forums, and specifically use personal outreach to re-engage inactive brothers.

  • Foundation: Meet with the Foundation to improve integration and leverage its 501(c)(3) status.

  • Program Directors: Meet with directors to define action items and resource needs.

  • Greek Relations: Contact local Greek organizations for their 2026 event calendars to plan attendance.

  • Zeta Relations: Contact local Zetas to plan a joint Sigma/Zeta event and other joining activities.

Ways we can innovate the chapter

  • Meetings: Implement permanent Zoom capabilities for the meetings. In addition, locate a long-term physical meeting location.

  • Planning: Plan the annual calendar in advance, adding new signature events, such as a Fourth Quarter gathering.

  • Evaluation: Implement a structured post-event evaluation process for continuous improvement.

  • Training: Provide targeted training on event-hosting and fundraising.

  • The Pi Eta Sigma Service Incentive: At Pi Eta Sigma, giving back pays forward. Volunteer hours can be applied toward offsetting a portion of internal chapter dues, recognizing the dedication of our brothers.

“Since joining the chapter, I've taken on some pretty awesome responsibilities, like serving as Secretary and NPHC Representative. I also led the D9 Greek Games Team, contributed to the Social Media Team, and volunteered for various community service events and fundraisers. Plus, I'm still involved as a member of the Alpha Gamma Alumni Association.”

I ask for (4) your support and your vote. Let us move our chapter to the next epic version of Pi Eta Sigma excellence.
